In an effort to train the next generation of stem cell researchers and foster collaboration within the stem cell research community, the NYSCF Laboratory hosts workshops several times throughout the year.
The workshops are conducted in NYSCF’s state of the art laboratory by NYSCF staff, including Dr. Scott Noggle, Director of NYSCF Laboratory. The workshops provide researchers the opportunity to work with leading stem cell experts and gain experience and training in human pluripotent stem cell derivation, culture and characterization, including embryonic stem (ES) cells and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells.
The workshops consist of both demonstrations and laboratory practicals, which are supported by lectures. Additionally, past participants have had the opportunity to hear Drs. Kevin Eggan, NYSCF’s Chief Scientific Officer, and Konrad Hochedlinger of the Harvard Stem Cell Institute give special presentations.
Please check back for the dates of our next workshop.
